for Special Olympics Wisconsin

Join us for the World’s Largest Truck Convoy®

September 18, 2010

Truckers from all over North America will join the World’s Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics.  In Wisconsin, the Convoy will be escorted by law enforcement to the EAA Grounds for a celebration recognizing truckers and the support of the trucking industry.  It is our way of saying thank you for your commitment to Special Olympics athletes and for keeping America moving!

Timeline

Convoy Start:

  • Pioneer Travel Plaza in Richfield (off of Hwy 41) at Exit #60
  • 6:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. Registration/Check in
  • 8:45 a.m. - Mandatory Driver's Meeting
  • 9:30 a.m. Convoy Begins

Ending Celebration:

  • EAA Grounds
    3000 Poberezny Road, Oshkosh, WI
    11:15 a.m. (Approx. Time)

Types of vehicles that can participate

  • You must be 10,000 GVW or larger and a semi truck, truck/trailer combination, fire truck, dump truck, flat bed, bus, large tow truck or large box truck

  • No trucks with hazardous materials (bobtail ok) are permitted

  • No alcohol / tobacco names or logos are permitted.

Prizes for convoy fundraisers

Convoy participants who choose to raise funds above the $100 minimum participation fee can receive these great prizes. Prizes are not cumulative.

Partnership Levels

Truck entries may be shared with clients at any of the Partnership levels

$15,000 Presenting Partnership Benefits

(must commit by Aug. 1 for logo to be included on T-shirt)

  • Up to 30 entries in the Convoy, including one placed as VIP lead truck
  • Presenting partner status – “World’s Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics Wisconsin presented by (you)”
  • Right to use Wisconsin’s Special Olympics, Law Enforcement Torch Run & Truck Convoy logos in advertising
  • Company recognized with award at the celebration party, with lunch for the corporate representative (who is invited to speak at the celebration party) and/or drivers
  • Company involvement at Summer Games, including VIP status, volunteer opportunities and Partners Park exhibition space
  • Company name/logo on all marketing materials, including: T-shirts, brochure, poster, event program, website, press releases, event banners, registration letters and radio advertisements (Must commit before April 1 to ensure logo placement on current year’s event brochure and poster)
  • Year-round recognition in all Special Olympics Wisconsin State Games handbooks and one feature article per year in the Special Olympics Wisconsin Teammates eNewsletter
  • Six banners (four 3’ x 5’ and two 3’ x 15’) displayed at event supplied by Special Olympics Wisconsin
  • Opportunity to include company information or items in participant goodie bag (item must be provided to Special Olympics by August 27, 2010 to be included)
  • Opportunity for Truck Dealerships to “show” one new tractor at the south entrance of the Pioneer Travel Plaza the day of the Convoy
  • First right of negotiation for Presenting Partner of the World’s Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics Wisconsin

$10,000 Platinum Partnership Benefits

(must commit by Aug. 1 for logo to be included on T-shirt)

  • Up to 25 entries in the Convoy, one of which will be placed within in the first 15 trucks
  • Right to use Wisconsin’s Special Olympics, Law Enforcement Torch Run & Truck Convoy logos in advertising
  • Company recognized with award at the celebration party, with lunch for the corporate representative (who is invited to speak at the celebration party) and/or drivers
  • Company involvement at Summer Games, including volunteer opportunities and Partners Park exhibition space

  • Company name/logo on marketing materials, including:  T-shirts, event program, and website
  • Opportunity to display three partner-provided banners (3’ x 5’) at event
  • Opportunity to include company information or items in participant goodie bag (item must be provided to Special Olympics by August 27, 2010 to be included)

Long and Short Haul Partnerships are a great way for companies who may not have a truck to register in the Convoy, but who have an interest in interacting with the more than 100 participating truckers while they gather in Richfield for registration.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to personally talk with members of the trucking industry, while also supporting Special Olympics Wisconsin athletes!
