Cops N Lobsters - April
Cops N Lobsters features law enforcement officers as guest servers at Red Lobster in Grand Chute. This year Cops N Lobsters raised over $4,200.00 for Special Olympics - Fox Valley Region. Lock Up a Cop - October 28, 2011
Lock Up a Cop features law enforcement officers behind bars to benefit Special Olympics. This is NOT a jail and bail style event rather an event in which officers raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics by looking to the community to make contributions to any of the officers in the jail cell or the event in general. The event will take place at the Walmart in Neenah. Volunteers are needed to do a 2 hour shift in the jail cell along with approx. 4-5 other officers. Officers are encouraged to bring a vehicle to represent their department and come in uniform. Comedy for a Cause - TBA
Comedy for a Cause will take place at the Skyline Comedy Café in Appleton. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each by contacting Investigator Mark Mauthe from the Menasha Police Dept. at mmauthe@ci.menasha.wi.us or Nicci Sprangers at nsprangers@specialolympicswisconsin.org. Enjoy a great show from popular comic and support Special Olympics with all proceeds from tickets sales benefit Special Olympics Fox Valley Regopm. Must be over 21 to attend.
Cops Gone Wild - Buffalo Wild Wings in Oshkosh
This event features officers as guest waiters at Buffalo Wild Wings in Appleton and Oshkosh. The event will raise funds for Special Olympics Wisconsin - Fox Valley Region. All tips that are received by the officers as they wait tables will benefit Special Olympics. In addition, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10% of all food sales.
Oshkosh Cops Gone Wild - Date TBA - Volunteers need for Lunch Shift – 10:45 am – 2:00 pm and Supper Shift from 4:45 pm – 9:00 pm. To volunteer for the event contact Sgt. Brian Schuldes from the Oshkosh Police Department at brschuldes@ci.oshkosh.wi.us.

Bowl for Champions - Sabre Lanes Menasha - November 5, 2011- 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Bowl for Champions began in 2005 as a bowling event to raise funds for Special Olympics—Fox Valley Region. The event has grown dramatically over the past 4 years and has raised nearly $22,000.00 for Special Olympics. The event promises tons of fun, prizes galore and a wild wacky atmosphere as teams are encouraged to come dressed in themes. Sign up your 4 person team, entry fee is $80 per team. Participants are encouraged to also raise a minimum in $25 in pledges. The event is open to the public and 100% of the proceeds raised through this event will directly benefit the Fox Valley Region Special Olympics program.
Polar Plunge - February 19, 2011 - Menominee Park in Oshkosh
The Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity for individuals, organizations, and businesses to support local Special Olympics athletes by jumping or running into the icy waters of Wisconsin. In 2011, over 1900 individuals took the Polar Plunge in Oshkosh and raised $415,000 for Special Olympics. The Polar Plunge offers a fun filled exciting day for the whole family. We offer a Pee Wee Plunge for the kids, a huge Family Fun Tent, a huge heated Entertainment Tent with live music by RPM, ice carving, a wing eating contest, over three hours of Plunging, great costumes and more! Prefer to stay dry and warm??? We now have the option for your to participate as Too Chicken to Plunge! Register Online.
Final Leg - Law Enforcement Torch Run - June 9, 2011
Join us for Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg! The Torch Run is not a race, rather it is an event that brings together law enforcement personnel from around the state to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics. Officers light the Flame of Hope™ in their community and escort the Flame to Stevens Point for the Opening Ceremony of Summer Games.
How to Participate
Participate by running, biking, driving a squad car or support vehicle or making a pledge to a participant. Runners of all ability levels are encouraged to participate. The Torch Run route is 9 miles but you can run for as much or as little as you would like and ride in the squad cars/support vehicles for the rest! Participants are also welcome to bike or rollerblade. We also have the option for advanced bike riders to participate in the 40 mile bike ride from Appleton to Waupaca.

How to Register
Register online here. Form a Torch Run team or participate as an individual. Participants are encouraged to raise funds or sell t-shirts to support Special Olympics - Fox Valley Region. Funds can be raised online or turned in on the day of the Torch Run. All participants receive a shirt.
