Tennis
Special Olympics Tennis is "serving up" fun among athletes of all ages because of its leisurely pace. Tennis is increasing in popularity and has spread to 15 countries and has quintupled since the 1987 World Games.
Athletes compete in singles events. Individual Skills contests may also be offered, at district events. The individual skills contest is for athletes of lower ability and offers competition in events such as target serve and return shot. Tennis players are grouped in divisions according to the athletes' ability level.
