About the Chad Erickson Memorial
Chad Erickson became a Special Olympic Athlete at the age of 10 after suffering from a severe brain injury during open heart surgery. He made many new wonderful friends through this organization. His experiences with the athletes brought back meaning to his life and gave him much to look forward to. While Chad was enjoying sports once again, our family had the opportunity to learn a great deal about Special Olympics and how this "family of friends" touch our community.
Chad passed away in April of 1995 and to date the Special Olympics organization and its athletes hold a special place in the Erickson Families heart. It is our pleasure and honor to support this meaningful organization in anyway we can. We are so pleased to be included in the Du Run Run.
